Mt. Tamalpais

Mt. Tamalpais

June 19 happens to be Juneteenth, and I ended up on the peak of Mountain Tamalpais in Marine County, California. Initially, it was supposed to be a trip to Inverness with my friend, Jefferson, after a short phone check-in conversation. We could invite some more people, which happened; 5 of us went to Mt. Tamalpais, Jefferson, Xi Xi, Tonita, Itohan, and me.

An hour drive, first through Berkeley to Giannini Hall since I had to grab my tripod, which I had not used in over 2 months or more, and had left sitting in the office for a very long time. We headed over to Mount T, using the Richmond bridge, and arrived there half past 6, meeting the cold. We chatted about whose idea it was and why we weren't informed that it was Mount Tamalpais and that we were planning a hike. I will leave that alone, but we did a 0.3-mile hike to catch the sunset at the top of the East Lookout.

Turned out to be a wonderful day and a stimulating photography session for many, including me. It was pretty windy and cold, but it turned out to be a very relaxing side quest to do spontaneously on Juneteenth. I've attached photos from our 0.3-mile hike/photoshoot.

The above is a quick photo from the first few minutes we arrived at Mt. T. There appeared to be an accident involving a mountain biker, or a fire situation. I quickly took photos of how the fire service department existed in that period.

Quickshots of this gentleman meditating - It was so windy and cold that the process of getting a good shot was what I found fascinating. Images 1 to 4 show how I went from a totally blurry shot to a much cleaner shot, and yet still, the wind was detected.
